Drive 2008-09
UIM
proudly announces and celebrates the highest
number of Job placements the MBA students
got in the campus
interview, organized by the Training and
Placement cell of UIM .
During the
Placement Drive 2008-09 conducted at
Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM),
Campus and Off Campus Interviews were
conducted with around 30 reputed companies for
the final placements of MBA - 2007-09 Batch
students. The list includes some top notch
Multinational Companies like Matrix Cellular
Ltd, HCL Infosystem, Genpact, Ceasefire
Industries Ltd, Sisley- Tata Trent, AHA Group,
HDFC Bank, Apollo Healthcare, Dunhill, IDBI,
India Bulls, Coca Cola India and so on.
Due to recession,
the Placement Drive picked up momentum a bit
late but a good number of students managed to
pick up their dream jobs in their preferred
sectors and the process is still going on with
big names like Axis Bank, Moolchand
Healthcare, India Mart, Haldiram Manufacturing
Ltd. and Aircel, Bajaj Allianz, Reliance Money , Indiabulls ,
HDFC Bank , Sharekhan , ICICI, Yes Bank, Wipro,
Aviva etc attended the campus recruitment drive
and selected a large number of students for
executive posts in the companies, with hefty
pay packages running into several lacks
per annum.
Keeping the good
old saying- 'you reap what you sow' in mind,
special efforts are being taken for the first
year students of MBA 2008 - 10 Batch to place
them in good companies for their summer training
so that it could prepare them for their final
placements. To start with, Reliance Money
Ltd. from Mumbai was invited to the Campus
to launch their one year training program.
Around 150 students of MBA first year attended
the presentation by the company, out of which
100 students were selected for the training
program.

Training and Placement Centre

The Centre
undertakes the following activities :

Arrange for industrial training for students during their summer and
winter vacation.

lectures by senior corporate
executives.

To motivate and prepare students for interviews for prospective
work-place.

Careful and systematic preparation
with Mock
aptitude tests, Group Discussion and personality development tests.

Sufficient reading material
to be made available to help students to
prepare for interview.

To organize
Guest Lecture.

To
supervise the functioning of alumni
association.

To organize
workshop and conferences.

To promote
consultancy services.
-
To ensure
training arrangement of all students as per
the need and stipulation of University
ordinances.

To arrange for
the final placement of outgoing students as
per the standards of the institute.

To maintain
and create corporate relationships keeping
in view the overall interest of the
institute.
Uttarakhand is a developing state. The Govt. of
Uttarakhand is inviting National and International Organizations to establish their branches in the state. Our students will have the advantage of acquiring in-plant industrial training during the summer vacations.
Uttaranchal institute of management
offers information, advice guidance and job seeking support to the
students under its placement program. Career advisors are made available
to discuss ideas and plans.
We have forged links with the following

Kotak, India Bulls, Dainik Jagran, HDFC, ICICI
